The little one is starting to gain interest in food again. Thank God for giving her appetite, even though she can still be very picky about food. It has been a learning process trying to understand what she likes (guo teow, macroni, bones, cream of mushroom soup) and what she doesn't (mushy foods - yes, she didn't eat much squashed up or blended foods, things with color etc). Determination to try to give her the most nutritious food often result in Nanny or myself laboring over cook books, websites and in the kitchen trying to produce meals to whet her appetite, only to be given a head shake and a polite "no no" from Rebecca. Ah, we can only continue to try.
Recently however, post her recent illness, she has taken to her meals quite a bit. Rebecca has dinner rather early, about 6pm and will join me and nanny for dinner again when I have mine, about 8ish. She will sit on her highchair and have some cereals or snacks or a gnaw at my bones.
Here she is getting all happy and messy. Look at her cheeky grin.
Trying to be a 'big girl', wanting to drink out of a 'big girl glass'. We try to keep drinks and glasses out of her sight, especially when we eat out. She's only allowed to sip at little driplets of water after I'm done with my glass.
May God continue to watch over her as she grows and develops. Amen.
