It has arrived. The TANTRUM stage.
The little one is starting to resort to tantrums to communicate with us and its very trying, to say the very least.
I've asked that everyone in the family leave her alone when she goes into such fits as the last thing we want to teach her is that throwing tantrums gets her what she wants. So when she does get into a fit, we put her on my bed and leave her to "work it out".
The first time, it took her 45 mins and caused me a lot of heartache as I sat on the bed watching her heave and sob. That was past Saturday. Only after 45 minutes did I hug her and comfort her to sleep, which she did for 1 hour and woke up crying again.
Yesterday was the 2nd time. She threw another tantrum and nanny left her on my bed where she cried for 30 minutes and fell asleep finally. Our ayi was perplexed and wanted to comfort her but good thing our nanny didn't permit.
Lord give us the strength and wisdom to bring up this child as she really does have a mind of her own. Barring these incidences, she is a really joyful kid and a real blessing to be around.

C, meia's also the same, arches her back, lies on the floor if she doesn't get her way, so we juz let her be, cry her lungs out. only when she decides enuff is enuff, i'll carry her when she has quieten down. very heartache i know, but no choice, gotta teach her. of coz, mil wasn't too happy.
I think people outside the dad and mom circle probably cannot "tahan" the "cruel military style" ... but no choice hor...since we're the ones who have been charged to bring the kid up ... so haha, got to be TOUGH!
Whoah!
LOL
Tantrums...i was wondering what is that...then i found this webpage which http://www.askdrsears.com/html/6/T063300.asp is really good to seek for guidance on child care..Well, i properly had the same when i was a toddler, which i don't remember..Hahha..Anyhow, rebecca is growing cuter ever ;-)
Happening to us with E2 too. Hugs. Equally traumatic for the parents! - mamamusing
