It has arrived. The TANTRUM stage.
The little one is starting to resort to tantrums to communicate with us and its very trying, to say the very least.
I've asked that everyone in the family leave her alone when she goes into such fits as the last thing we want to teach her is that throwing tantrums gets her what she wants. So when she does get into a fit, we put her on my bed and leave her to "work it out".
The first time, it took her 45 mins and caused me a lot of heartache as I sat on the bed watching her heave and sob. That was past Saturday. Only after 45 minutes did I hug her and comfort her to sleep, which she did for 1 hour and woke up crying again.
Yesterday was the 2nd time. She threw another tantrum and nanny left her on my bed where she cried for 30 minutes and fell asleep finally. Our ayi was perplexed and wanted to comfort her but good thing our nanny didn't permit.
Lord give us the strength and wisdom to bring up this child as she really does have a mind of her own. Barring these incidences, she is a really joyful kid and a real blessing to be around.
